We often use virtual patients to execute exercises that are like real-world implementation.

Undergraduate Programs

Lincoln University College’s nursing undergraduate programs follow stringent academic excellence and honesty requirements. Our programs push the limits of nursing education both within and outside the classroom, preparing our graduates to practice and excel in today’s dynamic, technical healthcare world. Presently, we are successfully running the following courses under this faculty:

A. CONVENTIONAL

1. Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Nursing (Post Registration)

The program, Bachelor of Science (Hons) Nursing (Post Registration) of Lincoln University College, has been specially designed to provide the students with the knowledge regarding the varied important aspects of nursing practice. Our experienced faculty focuses on the different approaches as far as treatment and care of patients is concerned. Students also learn about the importance of the assessment of the psychological and emotional needs of the patients. Thus, our learning will help the graduates, to perform their duties effectively in the health care sector.

2. Bachelor of Nursing Sciences (Hons)

Bachelor of Nursing Sciences (Hons), offered by Lincoln University College, will help the students to acquire, theoretical as well as practical knowledge, regarding the diverse aspects of nursing and nursing practice. Our program of study includes both theoretical learning and practical training sessions. Our experienced teaching faculty emphasizes on the enhancement of advanced clinical skills as well as essential nursing skills. Thus, our program of study, will prepare the students for a professional career in nursing.

3. BSc (Hons) in Nursing (Public Health)

Our program, BSc (Hons) in Nursing (Public Health) is designed for nurses interested to gain a professional qualification in health visiting, occupational health nursing or school nursing. The program proposes registered nurses a prospect to enhance their knowledge and extend their skills to enhance health. This course is appropriate for qualified nurses with a dedication to prevention and health advancement and evidence-based practice in a civic setting. They are enabled in acquiring their knowledge and competences to enhance the provision of health care, by employing appropriate theory, research, and support, to reflect modern perceptions.

4. Diploma in Nursing

Diploma in Nursing is a three-year program. It is primarily intended for those, who are willing to embrace a profession, which is self-gratifying and humanistic. To meet the ever-increasing demand of health care, the course has been designed to endow the graduates with the adequate knowledge and skills, which will enable them to function effectively as a Registered Nurse and as a member of the health care team, locally or globally.

B. ODL

1. BSc (Hons) in Nursing (Post Registration)

Our program, BSc (Hons) in Nursing (Post Registration) is designed for nurses interested in disease prevention and community and population health. The course aims to generate excellent nurses, who are fit for practice and competent to meet the essential needs of all patient categories. The students will experience a unified academic and professional training background structured to facilitate them to gain the knowledge, awareness, and skills to pursue and nurture a career in contemporary nursing training. The program is offered in Open and Distance Learning Mode (ODL).

Postgraduate Programs

The postgraduate programs at Lincoln University College extend and improve the applicant’s expertise and skills in a particular clinical nursing major, allowing them to better handle their patients’ health and treatment. Our postgraduate programs are tailored to transform health through creative practice, cutting-edge research, and outstanding academic programs. Currently, this faculty is successfully running the following courses:

A. CONVENTIONAL

1. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nursing

Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing program is designed for students to conduct research in the field of Nursing Sciences. The students will be able to do interdisciplinary research related to the fields of nursing. It will be convenience for the students to pursue their independent research work through our specialized and well-equipped laboratories. Our University College is highly supported by qualified and experience academic staff.

This program is intended for students, who wish to advance their studies in this relevant discipline of study in nursing.

For successful completion of PhD degree in Lincoln University College, each candidate needs to publish minimum of two (2) research articles in Scopus indexed journals and two (2) other indexed International Journals, with Lincoln University College affiliation.

Duration:
Full Time Duration: 36 Months
Part Time Duration: 48 Months

2. Master in Nursing (Education)

Nurses are an integral part of the health care sector. Lincoln University College aims to offer advanced nursing course to students, who are willing to dedicate their life towards the well-being of the people. New and advanced nursing strategies also form the core of our learning program. Training sessions are also an integral part of our nursing program. We also impart education regarding the aspect that the students should also take care of the emotional needs of the patients.

For successful completion of Masters degree in LUC, each candidate should publish minimum of Two research articles in Scopus indexed journals, with Lincoln affiliation.

Minimum Duration: 24 – 36 Months
Maximum Duration: 36 – 48 Months

3. Master of Nursing (Public Health)

This programme of Lincoln University College, prepares the students as Public Health Care Professionals. Students, of this program learn about the varied aspects of clinical care. They are also made aware of the importance of improvement and the necessity of frequent supervision of the health care procedures. As far as the educational aspect is concerned, we give utmost importance to the aspects related to interdisciplinary health care. Theoretical learning as well as practical based learning is offered by our qualified teaching staffs.

4. Master in Nursing (By Research)

The Master in Nursing (By Research) in the Faculty of Nursing (Lincoln University College) is able to produce professional graduates who are equipped with proficient skills in the field of specialty. The supervision on research process and student’s attachment to their own specialty in the clinical areas enable students to enhance competency in their specialized areas. This attachment enables students to be more analytical and inculcates leadership skills in their daily process of work, students can reflect, evaluate, and provide ideas in making decision. Graduates will acquire a highly developed understanding of complexity in nursing theories, perceptions and technologies innovation that can be functional in the health delivery system to effectively and efficiently in providing safe nursing care in various specialties. Students after completing this course can pursue careers as Clinical Nurse and Nurse Practitioner as a researcher in public and private hospitals or community health clinic.

5. Master of Nursing (Midwifery)

The course Master of Nursing (Midwifery) provides the opportunity to develop and enhance their knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to care for patients/clients to the highest professional standards across the health care sphere. This postgraduate nursing coursework programs are design to specialize in midwifery, that deliver an advanced training on maternal and child health or neonatal intensive care services. During perusing this course students will continue learning, gathering new information, and use that information to improve the sphere of technology applications and improving the quality of life, to provide contemporary midwifery nursing interaction for the primitive, curative and rehabilitative of the women across the life span.

6. Post Basic Certificate in Teaching Methodology for Nurses

In the present scenario there is a shortage of qualified nurse educators. Hence, the demand for nursing teachers is quite high. The programme deals with the teaching method along with the principles and methods that must be implemented by nursing teachers to achieve the desired learning goals. The programme is designed to guide nurses wishing for a career in teaching. This programme aims to equip individuals with the ability to apply and utilize a range of teaching approaches that will enhance teaching and learning.

7. Post Basic Renal Care Nursing

Renal nursing is a specialized area of nursing practice to treats patients with kidney disease and educates both patients and families about treatment protocols. The programme, Post Basic Renal Care Nursing, aims to produce competent, knowledgeable, and professional nurses with a better understanding of the patients across the spectrum of renal care, causes and treatment of the disease and the psycho-social implications of renal disease. It prepares them to compete in present competitive global as well as local market.

B. ODL

1. Master of Nursing (Public Health)

Our program, Master of Nursing (Public Health) is designed for nurses interested in disease-prevention and community and population health. The program offers population-based care that is deferential of human dignity and patient sovereignty. Students are prepared to promote for ethical and just health care policies and promote public health and wellness in endeavors to reduce health disparities and enhance the quality of life for diverse communities and populations. The program is offered in Open and Distance Learning Mode (ODL).

Objectives & Goals

The curriculum is designed to help individuals gain trust and expertise in practicing all aspects of general dentistry. The programs under faculty of dentistry provide:

A comprehensive understanding of biological sciences that will enable them to be incorporated and correlated with clinical dental practice.

understanding of the relationship between general and oral diseases; expertise in diagnosing oral and dental diseases, including an understanding of the relationship between general and oral diseases.

In general, dental practice, clinical skills to provide preventive and curative care for patients are needed.
